Green Screen Animation

*GREEN SCREEN (luscious, gamma or vulcan green, or blastoff blue) - fabric, paper, felt, a car sunshade, a tri-fold science board, poster, plastic or heavier tablecloth, folder, free pizza boxes (donated from a store) painted green, lego plates, bottles, masks, cups, slinkies, stencils of any shape, lids, ornaments, cookie cutters, markers, etc. (choices are endless...)

*GREEN CHAIR or CLOTH FOR A GREEN COVER- very helpful for student shots
*A GREEN-SCREEN APP
*OBJECTS FOR A STORY
*AN IDEA

Use to integrate with other subjects:
-Science, Math explanations or exploration

Stop Motion Animation

4th Graders - USERNAME: lunch#; PASSWORD: 1234

NEEDED:
*Camera technology and stand/tripod (for a 30-second film, at least 180 photos are used - 6 frames per second for beginners) 
*Lighting to decrease shadows (2 small desk lamps)
*Creation or collection of objects to manipulate - paper, manipulative objects made from play-dough or clay, whiteboard story, legos, mixed, etc. (legos make additional days of videoing easier to recreate)
*Creation of a backdrop
*Creation of a set where the story takes place

BRAINSTORMING:
*Location-based: school, store, home, space, beach, etc.
*Character-based: superheroes, animals, inanimate objects, etc.
*Story Telling: fairy tales, nursery rhymes, storybooks, novels, etc.
*Instructional/Subject Tie-in: science units, history units, etc.

STORYBOARD FOR EACH SCENE: 
*What's happening?
*Where's the focus?
1-2 characters per person
*Starting positions

EDITING:
*Remove bad frames (showing hands, etc)
